New Zealand 22 June 2006: Central Auckland

We were deeply honoured today to meet with His Worship the Mayor of Auckland, Dick Hubbard. During our conversations outside the Auckland Town Hall, Mr Hubbard was very enthusiastic, supportive and encouraging.

We were extremely grateful that he kindly took some time out from his busy schedule to meet with us and to show his support for the New Zealand section of this years World Harmony Run.

This meeting marked the end of our run through New Zealand for the year...but that doesn't mean that the World Harmony Run has finished! It is continuing in other countries of the world as we speak. Check out the global homepage to see where the run is now!

We would like offer our deepest and most sincere gratitude to all those who so kindly and generously supported the World Harmony Run in New Zealand. We would also like to thank all of the people who took time out of their busy schedules to meet with us. Another big thank you must go to all of the schools that we visited. We were touched by their enthusiasm and open hearted hospitality. We had lots of fun and we hope that they did too!

Don't forget to check out the photo gallery to see lots more pics of the World Harmony Run in New Zealand and around the world.

Thanks for joining us. We are planning new activities and new destinations for the World Harmony Run in New Zealand in 2008, so stay tuned!
