Sweden 12 June: Stockholm - Ängsvik

Starting off at the beautiful plaque in the very centre of Stockholm declaring the city a 'Sri Chinmoy Peace Capital', we went to meet Rickard Kingstad, a reporter from 'Runner's World' magazine. He is in top shape himself and was eager to know everything about the run. On our way out of Stockholm, we met with a group of enthusiastic tourists from different countries. We then headed towards the northeast, where you find island after island beautifully embedded in the sea; we took the ferry four times to get to today's goal, Ängsvik. It was a very pleasant and easygoing day for us.

At the plaque in Stockholm declaring the city a Sri Chinmoy Peace Capital; Sri Chinmoy is the founder of the World Harmony Run.

At the city hall we met with a young and fit reporter, Rickard Kingstad of the well-known Runner's World magazine.

Photo with our local coordinators. Thanks for your help!

On our way out of Stockholm we met with this very nice group of friends from India, Japan and Indonesia. We hope to meet them one day in their home countries.

Exchanging runners.

Lichens so typical of Sweden.

This picture is a greeting to our friend Prabhakar, running now in Australia.

On the way we had to take few short ferry rides.

Our support vehicle.

Snail overtaking our runner :-).

Reading is a good way to pass the time waiting for a runner.

This time of the year everything blossoms, even in Sweden.

A beautiful blue house in Uppsala was our base camp and home while in Sweden. Many thanks to our friends Mahalaksmi and Komal.
