The WHR 2009 is back in Austria!

We started in the morning from the "Wurzenpass", a mountain pass 1710m high and connecting Slovenia with Austria - enjoying a nice downhill run...

Wir starteten am Wurzenpass, einer 1710m hohen Passhöhe, welche Österreich mit Slowenien verbindet.

Wir genossen den morgendlichen Lauf nach unten...

Our first meeting brought us to the primary school St. Leonhart b.S.

Unser erster Empfang führte uns in die Volksschule St. Leonhart b.S.

The school arranged a spontaneous music performance and all the kids passed the torch...

Die Schule zeichnete sich durch wirkliche Spontanität aus und organisierte kurzfristig eine Musikdarbietung...

A quick group picture and we left for the next place, Arnoldstein.

Kids from the primary school Arnoldstein ligned up on the main square and welcomed our runners...

As we reached the primary school in Nötsch, the kids received us already at the gate and sprinted with us to the school.

Als wir die Volksschule Nötsch erreichten, erwarteten uns die Kinder bereits in der Einfahrt und sprinteten mit uns bis zur Schule!

All of us reached the community centre and a representative St. Stefan welcomed us with refreshments...

Zusammen erreichten wir die Gemeinde und der Gemeinderepräsentant nahm die Fackel entgegen. Erfrischungen für Alle und Urkunden!

ein langer Tag auf der Strecke...

Minimundus in Klagenfurt was the next goal. This place shows many famous buildings from all over the world in miniature. As some of us went already to many countries with the World Harmony Run, many of the buildings were quite familiar to us!

Unser nächstes Ziel war Minimundus in Klagenfurt. Minimundus ist eine Ausstellung der berühmtesten Gebäude der Welt in verkleinertem Massstab. Viele der Gebäude waren einigen unserer WHR Teammitgliedern von verschiedensten Läufen wohlbekannt!

Die Angestellten von Minimundus nahmen die Fackel entgegen und liefen symbolisch einmal um die Welt (genauer gesagt einmal um den Globus im Eingangsbereich...)

As we finished the running today in Hermagor, we went back to our accommodation place, Villach.

We took the oportunity to visit the famous Spa Warmbad Villach, a great place for recreation and wellness...

Nachdem wir den Lauf für diesen Tag in Hermagor beendeten, fuhren wir zurück nach Villach wo unser Team untergebracht war.

Wir nahmen die Möglichkeit war und besuchten das berühmte Warmbad Villach, ein perfekter Ort für Erholung und Entspannung...

Mrs. Mayerhofer took the torch and together we run a symbolic lap for Harmony!

Frau Mayerhofer nahm die Fackel entgegen und zusammen liefen wir eine Runde für Harmonie.

after a final group picture and great refreshments we were invited for the perfect end of a great running day: swimming in a healthy Spa!

Nach einem abschließenden Gruppenfoto und exzellenten Erfrischungen beendeten wir den Tag auf eine perfekte Art und Weise: schwimmend im Warmbad Villach!
