The run started off its journey in GrandFalls, New Brunswick today with a relay uniting in harmony a French and English school.

La course a débuté aujourd'hui à Grand Falls, Nouveau-Brunswick avec un relais réunissant dans l'harmonie une école francophone et une école anglophone.

The students of both Ecole Sacre-coeur and John Caldwell School ran through town and ended their run at Town Hall for a meeting with town officials.

Les élèves des Écoles Sacré-Coeur et John Caldwell ont couru dans la ville et terminé leur course à l'Hôtel de Ville avec les Responsables de la Ville.

The mayor of Grandfalls, Mr.Duffie, presented the runners with a speech outlining the importance of the event and a representative for the town’s Deputy also welcomed the runners and saluted their perseverance and efforts.

Le Maire de Grand Falls, Monsieur Duffie, a offert aux coureurs un discours révélant l'importance de cet événement. Également un Député de la région a accueilli les coureurs et fait l'éloge de leur persévérance et nombreux efforts.

The team then headed out to Woodstock where they met with local runners at Carleton Civic Center for a too short “cross-country” run to nearby Centennial school.

En route vers Woodstock, N.B., l'équipe de la CHM a rencontré des coureurs de la Ville de Woodstock, au Centre Civique de Carleton. Ils ont participé à deux Courses "Cross-Country" de courtes distance, organisées par une École Centenaire avoisinante.

The kids there recited their school motto, a pledge for peace, and joined in the fun for an 800 m run around the yard.

Les enfants ont récité la devise de l'école, "Un Engagement pour la Paix" et ont participé à la course de 800 mètres dans la cour de l'école.

We want to thank Bert, Manager of the Leo Motel in Grand Falls, NB for his friendliness, hospitality and generosity in providing us with a complimentary motel room for the evening. Clean and comfortable and we had a great stop here in Grand Falls.
