Iceland 5 September: Reykjavík

Today we were running to four elementary schools in Reykjavik, and the smiles on the children’s faces were indescribable. Their enthusiasm inspired us all, and they have a keen interest in the world around them.

Many of them have friends abroad, and their hearts know no boundaries, just like the Harmony Run has no real boundaries.

They instantly grasped the essence of the Run and its purpose, and as they ran along with us we were children once more, running with our friends, having fun and enjoying ourselves.

So many things we receive in our travels, but none is as pure and adoring as a child’s smile. We are one Team, one Family, running along the same road, playing and enjoying ourselves like small children.

The Harmony is in our hearts, and it is up to us to inspire our brothers and sisters of the world, and pointedly remind them that as we are, they are too, citizens of the World.

We also went to the Blue Lagoon, to refresh ourselves after the day, and to enjoy one of the wonders of Iceland. We could hardly get better weather as Iceland smiled on us, and the clear blue skies were reflected in the blues of the lagoon.
