Italy 1 April: Reggio nell'Emilia - Milano

After spending night downtown Reggio in Youth Hostel that used to be a monastery we continued our journey split in two teams. First team started in Reggio and run north west towards Piacenza.

Just outside of the city we passed again the famous bridge. It is quite a interesting construction.

Since we are in Parma region we couldn't resist to buy some Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. There are big discussions, where you can get the best one. Everybody tells you something else, usually the place where they live. Anyway it was heavenly GOOD.

Other team started the day with a ceremony in Piacenza, city on big river Po.

The city representative warmly welcomed us as well as local running club and TV.

Everybody joined for little jog.

Excellent runners from Piacenza running club continued for many kilometres.

The running route was tough due to heavy traffic.

Thanks to police escort we were safe even on this busy road.

Just before Gaggiano road took us along some rice fields. You could almost feel like in Asia.

It become a great tradition that Gaggiano runners who organise many big races around here to prepare nice refreshments and keep running with us.

Last ceremony of the day took place just at the beginning of Milano.

Assesore of sport showed everyone nice park next to a river.
