We went to the old part of Udine...

...in front of the gem of gotico veneziano: the astonishing Loggia del Lionello, designed by the goldsmith artist Nicolò Lionello.

Another gem...a shining mittel-european Cafe!

...our first Italian Cappuccino...

Our friends from the Polisportiva joined us once again for a half marathon to Palmanova...

...we left Udine...

...and found ourselves on the countryside of Veneto. The summer was back! A hot, sunny day...

...nature's beauty sourrounds the perfection of the villas...

 

We reached Palmanova, another historic city in Northern Italy. The whole city is one ancient fortress!

...and we stopped at the City Hall, where a group of students of the Accademia Musicale città di Palmanova welcomed us with flutes and drums...

Thank you for the warm welcome!

The hot Saturday afternoon we spent running towards Venice. We ended the day in Cavallino Treporti, where the management of the Casa per ferie Regina Mundi hosted us generously near the beach!
