Morocco: 29 May: Sidi Kacem – Fes

Upon our arrival at the city hall of Sidi Kacem there was a nice surprise waiting for our Czech and Slovak members of the team. The welcoming speech was in English, Arabic and Polish language. You may wonder way, but our languagues are very close so we can understand each other quite well. We were than taken by the Polish family living in Sidi Kacem to a very nice dinner organized by the Mayor of the city. It was very kind of them.

After a very good breakfast we started the day in two schools and then we were accompanied out of the city by a girls soccer club.

We had to cover 85 km throughout the hilly landscape on the way to Fes. It was challenging, but we enjoyed it. The climate is really hot and the face of the countryside is changing very rapidly.

At some parts there are basicaly no trees along the route so you feel like a camel in the desert.

And than out of a sudden lash and green oasis and fields are all around you.

Teenager athletes joined us at the borderline of the city of Fes. We were received by the city organizers who prepered a delicious meal for us. We are all the time repeating ourselves saying how caring, generous and hospitable the people of Morocco are. It is just overwhelming. How we wish all the people would be like that!!!
