Morocco 31 May: Meknes - Khemisset

Today started with a wonderful ceremony at a school in the presence of the principal and all the teachers. The kids had a very rich program ready for us in the form of various traditional, musical and dancing performances. They even had us join them in their dance …

Our dear friend Mustapha Meskini is looking after us all the time, making sure that everything is going well.

An interview by the main national TV channel was a part of the morning program. In the evening, while enjoying our late dinner in the hotel restaurant, what do we see on the TV screen? The World Harmony Run in the main evening news on TV channel 1. They very nicely captured the starting ceremony at the school.

The weather was quite cool today compared with other days, so we enjoyed running in the beautiful and hilly countryside.

The arrival to Khemisset was great, and we were accompanied by the champion athlete in the 1500 metres. We were received by a whole delegation of dignitaries at the city hall. A very nice speech was delivered by the Mayor of Khemisset, and then we were decorated with the traditional hats of this region in Morocco.
