USA 12 April: Brooklyn, New York City

Two days after the World Harmony Run Global Launch in NYC we received the warmest welcome and brightest smiles from the Girls for Gender Equality (GGE) of New York. Founder Joanne Smith, Health and Fitness Director Alexis Seeley and participants of the annual Mother-Daughter GGE Brooklyn event, joined us for a lively round of the World Harmony Run theme song and a run with the Torch.

We were inspired by the mission GGE, a national organization, is committed to: working with communities for the development of girls and women through education and physical fitness.

The organization works closely with the Women's Sports Foundation founded by Tennis champion and Social Change advocate Billie Jean King.
