Dmitro (Dima) Lehonkov

Dima Lehonkov on the World Harmony Run

Dima had a great experience participating in te European World Harmony Run which included Russia and his native Ukraine, in 2004. He joined the team in Portugal and ran back through France, Italy and Spain. This was a real inspiration for him as he soaked up the cultures of so many different countries.

He wants to be part of the World Harmony Run in Australia this year because he feels, "it is a unique opportunity to see the whole continent and also to share the feeling of harmony with his team mates and the people of Australia.

When he runs with an international team, he says, he gets "enormous gladness." And, as he puts it, "it is also a special way to carry the light of peace and goodwill in many countries of the world."
