Yesterday we took an overnight-ferry from Genova to Sardinia. We arrived just at the sunrise that we watched from the top deck.

Ieri abbiamo preso un traghetto notturno da Genova alla Sardegna. Siamo arrivati giusto all'alba vista dal ponte della nave.

Sardinia is now like a paradise! This time of the year is probably the best season for a visit: sunny sky, everything is blossoming and the fragrance of all the trees and flowers is stunning!

La Sardegna è come il paradiso! Questo periodo dell'anno è probabilmente il migliore per una visita: cielo soleggiato, tutto stà sbocciando e il profumo degli alberi e dei fiori stordisce!

We started the day in the harbor of Porto Torres where some local athletes joined us to launch the Sardinian Run! At noon we arrived in Alghero, a beautiful town at the rocky west coast with nostalgic houses and a traditional Italian city flair...The run through the city was a real adventure: 5 different high schools joined the Run and runners from each school carried the torch to the next one. Some kids even ran everything!

The city run ended at a primary school where most of the kids where dressed up in medieval costumes and performed for us!

Il giorno è iniziato dal porto di Porto Torres dove quelche atleta locale si è unito a noi per "lanciare" "la corsa della Sardegna". A mezzo giorno siamo arrivati ad Alghero, una bellissima città della costa rocciosa d'ovest con nostalgiche case e una tradizionale città in stile Italiano... La corsa attraverso la città è stata una vera avventura: 5 scuole diverse si sono unite alla corsa e i corridori si passavano la torcia di mano in mano. Anche qualche bambino ha corso tutto il percorso! La corsa è finita ad una scuola dove gli studenti erano vestiti con costumi medioevali ed hanno cantato e recitato per noi.

Tutti hanno retto la torcia studenti e insegnanti.

Then they run together on the street with us.

Alla fine hanno corso tutti insieme in strada con noi.

A typical Italian kids-stampede through the city topped the meeting and we run off along one of the most beautiful coast lines where we have ever been!

Il tipico tumulto dei bambibi Italiani attraverso la città teneva testa alla corsa che portava verso una bellissima costa mai vista prima!

The following 40 km lead us through a real garden: to the right the sea, to the left green hills and flowers everywhere!

At 6 pm we arrived in Oristano where we ended the day with traditional pasta!

I seguenti 40 km ci hanno portato attraverso un vero giardino: alla destra il mare, alla sinistra colline e fiori da ogni parte!
Alle 6 di sera siamo arrivati ad Oristano dove abbiamo finito la giornata con la tradizionale pasta!
