Slovakia 28 September: Bratislava - Piestany

President of the Slovak Republic held the torch in Pezinok....

President Slovenskej republiky dnes držal pochodeň v Pezinku...

A group of 6 runners from Slovakia, Czech republic and England went to run a 20 km race in Dolna Krupa with the torch.

Skupina 6 bežcov zo Slovenska , Čiech a Anglicka sa vybrala zabehnúť s pochodňou 20km pretek do Dolnej Krúpej.

After the opening of the race, we introduced together the ideals of the World Harmony Run to the racers and took a group picture together.

Moderátorom bol náš priateľ, vedúci oddelenia športu v Trnave, Jaroslav Lieskovský. Po otvorení preteku starostom obce, sme spolu predstavili myšlienku WHR pretekárom a urobili spoločnú fotku.

We ran as a group the whole time cheering other runners. Some of them ran with the torch for a bit. Also the winners and other runners have joined the harmony-torch-magic after the finish. It was a very nice experience for all of us.

We ran through Bratislava for 6 km in the morning and some of our friends - local runners joined us.

In Pezinok we became a part of parade at the celebration of grape harvest.

And we met the real samurai fighters there.

A stretli sme tam okrem iného aj skutočných samurajov.

Mayor of Pezinok Oliver Solga and the prezident of Slovak republic Ivan Gasparovic were at the head of the parade. They symbolically joined the World Harmony Run by holding the torch.

Part of the team quickly ran to Modra to meet the mayor Peter Majtan.

The mayor got the certificate of appriciation and the Torch Bearer award as an encouragement to build the harmonious relationships in his comunity. He ran with us the longest distance of all the mayors we met!

We made a short picnic break under the castle of Smolenice.

Pod Smolenickým zámkom sme si urobili krátky obedný piknik.

Final run to Piestany was trully majestic. Citizens and visitors of this spa city were cheering us with smiles and applause.

Dobeh do Piešťan bol naozaj majestátny. Pieštanský obyvatelia aj kúpeľný hostia nás vítali s usmiatymi tvárami a potleskom.

We had a ceremony at the Spa island, where we were recieved by representatives of the city and the spa.

Na Kúpeľnom ostrove sme mali ceremóniu, kde nás prijali predstavitelia mesta a kúpeľov a samozrejme veľa divákov.

Who came to see us? Charlie Chaplin and...

.. Elvis, ever alive.. (he was really alive)

.. aj Elvis, večne živý.. (naozaj bol živý)

Vice mayor Timotej Mistina and the representative of the spa arranged beautiful weather for us today. As they said :-)

Pán viceprimátor Timotej Miština a zástupkyňa riaditeľa kúpeľov nám vybavili na dnes krásne počasie, ako nám sami prezradili :-)

"It was a great day captain, wasn´t it?"

"Yes, captain!"

:o))))
