Slovakia 29 September: Piestany - border Moravske Lieskove

At 8 o`clock all the runners appeared in front of the city hall, where the vice mayor mr. Timotej Mistina with his colleagues were waiting to wish the Harmony Run all the best. From there we headed towards the border with Czech republic.

 


Ráno o osmej sme nastúpili pred mestský úrad kde nás už čakal viceprimátor Ing. Timotej Miština, CSc. so svojími kolegyňami a kolegami. Poprial nám všetko dobré a my sme sa vybrali smerom na hranice s Českou republikou.

We were accompanied by two slovak representatives of canoeing Robert Erban and Matej Rusnak from Piestany to Czech border.

 

Doprevádzali nás dvaja slovenský reprezentanti v rýchlostnej kanoistike Róbert Erban a Matej Rusnák z Pieštan po čekú hranicu.

Before arrival in Nove Mesto nad Vahom, the relay stopped shortly in Cachtice. Representatives of the local cooperative farm cordially greeted runners and presented them with strengthening gift from their own production.

 


Štafeta bežcov sa pred dobehnutím do Nového Mesta nad Váhom krátko zastavila v obci Čachtice, kde ich privítali zástupcovia miestneho roľníckeho družstva. V srdečnej atmosfére im zaželali veľa zdaru do ďalších kilometrov a odovzdali darček „na posilnenie“ z vlastnej produkcie.

Programme in Nove Mesto belonged to children. Runners made for primary school at Tematinska street. Pupils with teachers were waiting at the school yard. Director of the school welcomed runners with the torch and assured everyone that the ideals of the torch - peace and harmony are dear to the school and they try to guide children to these goals.



Začiatok programu v Novom Meste patril deťom. Bežci zamierili na základnú školu na Tematínskej ulici, kde ich na nádvorí čakali nastúpení žiaci spolu s pedagógmi. Riaditeľka školy privítala bežcov s pochodňou. Uistila prítomných, že symboly pochodne – mier a harmónia – sú im blízke a že k týmto ideálom vedú aj svojich žiakov.

Than we had a short programme with children which ended by a lap at school track.

 


Potom nasledoval krátky program pre deti, ktorý bol ukončený spoločným behom všetkých žiakov na športovom okruhu školy.

 

Representatives from three schools ran with us to the main square.

 


Spolu s bežcami vybiehali aj vybraní žiaci školy ako aj základných škôl z Odborárskej ulice a ul. Kpt. Nálepku.

Deputy mayor Viera Vienerova appreciated participants of the World Harmony Run for their efforts to spread harmony and peace. She expressed her gratitude to runners for visiting Nove Mesto nad Vahom once again after some years and emphasized her wish to welcome the relay next year.



Spoločne dobehli na námestie, kde ich privítala zástupkyňa primátora Ing. Viera Vienerová, ktorá ocenila účastníkov behu harmónie za ich snahu šíriť harmóniu a mier. Vyjadrila vďaku, že tento štafetový beh opäť po rokoch dorazil do Nového Mesta nad Váhom a prítomných bežcov uistila, že ich rada privíta aj na budúci rok.

One part of our team stopped in Moravske Lieskove village to meet school children there. We will definitely come back :)


Časť tímu sa zastavila pri škole v obci Moravské Lieskove. Do Moravského Lieskového sa ešte určite vrátime :)


The mayor of Moravske Lieskove Mr. Lubomir Miklanek was running with us to the border with Czech republic. He passed the torch to the mayor of Strani and to the whole czech team.



Na hranicu s Českou republikou sme dobehli so starostom Moravského Lieskového Ing. Ľubomírom Miklánekom, ktorý odovzdal pochodeň starostovi Strání.

Now the torch has arrived in the last country of the European route!!!


Pochodeň sa tak dostala do poslednej krajiny na Európskej trase!!!
