Slovenia 16 June: Graz - Maribor

...as the temperatures were rising, a World Harmony Run - chillout was the perfect thing to do this Saturday. Our brave group of runners started in Graz, Austria for a journey to Maribor, Slovenia.

Not so much was organised, the motto was only: have fun on the road!

...we followed the cycling path along the river Mur all the way to Wildon, our first short stop...

...the lake in Wildon was calling; still the running was more appealing...

...the deputy mayor of Wildon welcomed us and treated us for highly appreciated refreshments...

...a short group picture and on we went...

...as we reached the border between Austria and Slovenia, the two mayors from Spielfeld and Sentilj received the torch. It was already a good old tradition to meet at the border - they became already good friends of the World Harmony Run over the years...

...the torch was handed over officially from Austria to Slovenia...

...TV was there, too...

...gifts for everyone...

...and the World Harmony Run song ended the meeting...

...father and son joined the Run...

...the two mayors surprised us with an enthusiastic start into Slovenia...

...age is no limit!

...our runners group cheerfully carried the torch all the way to Maribor...

Thanks for the nice running day!
