USA 5 May: Tampa Bay, FL - Fort Walton Beach, FL

Since we ventured so far south into Florida we had to drive about 400 miles to rejoin our regular route in the northern Florida panhandle. One thing that kept us going was knowing our dear friend Ms Ellen Bragg was waiting for us. Ellen has been a friend to the World Harmony Run for about five years and has been offering us rooms in the exquisite hotel - Best Western Fort Walton Beachfront - that she manages. we also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Bruce McAlpin.

This is the rather delightful lobby - reflecting Ellen's light and breezy sense of life.

She always makes sure we get ocean view rooms.

In our opinion Fort Walton Beach is one of the best beaches in the entire US.

The water is crystal clear...

...and the sand is as white as snow and squeaky clean.

This guy brought his own torch!

Also, our thanks goes to the Fort Walton Beach Olive Garden and General Manager Jeff who very kindly provided us with a delicious and nutricious complimentary dinner. The Olive Garden is definitely becoming a team favorite.
