USA 12 July: Rhame, ND - Redig, ND

The women’s team started their running in Rhame just a few miles before the city of Bowman.

The whole landscape seemed so different from yesterday mostly because of the sharp view unspoiled by pouring rain. As we covered our first few miles the sun came out and dried all the puddles on the road.

In Bowman we were invited by KPOK radio station to give a live interview about the run and we even sang the WHR song.

The manager of the radio station Tim Trumbull then invited us to meet...

Ashley Alderson, county financial administrator and former Miss Rodeo America, and Lyn James, the mayor of Bowman.

Some of us also gave an interview to the Bowman County Pioneer – ND weekly newspaper. Thank you all for meeting us and helping us to spread the message of friendship and harmony.

As we continued on our journey, the number of waving and beeping cars passing by increased radically - probably as a result of the life interview. It gave us such a joy and encouragement.

The boys had a nice hilly run on a super straight and long road.

It wasn't too hot but it was quite windy. Jwalanta waves with joy!

Fields of beautiful flowers punctuate the landscape.

Thank you so much to Chris's Campground in Spearfish for providing tent space for the team. The campground was very peaceful and our hosts were excellent! We enjoyed singing the WHR song for them.
