USA 4 August: Pittsburgh, PA - Cranberry, PA

Our first ceremony of the day was at Hazelwood YMCA where we met 45-50 children.

There we met roots revival singer / songwriter Cathasaigh.

She had come into contact with the World Harmony Run in 2005 and has stayed in contact with us since.

She sang a song before the runners ran in and then sang some beautiful melodies for the team. The children really loved the Irish jig where they had to clap faster and faster.

The children really seemed to enjoy the whole experience.

There were smiles aplenty.

Thank you so much to the children and Cathasaigh for such a nice reception!

Making our way through the middle of Pennsylvania was really stunning. It is so lush and green here.

Our last stop of the day was at Camp Coffman where we were met by 30-40 very attentive children.

They asked a lot of interesting questions and really seemed to understand the deeper meaning of the run.

The counselors were quite keen on our visit.

They jumped right in to run with the torch.

All the children had a chance to run with or hold the torch. They were really a special group. They even ran the length of the driveway to escort Atulya on his way.

The Holiday Inn Clarion in Clarion, PA was a wonderful sight for the runners as the evenings have been blessing us with rain. Thank you so much for your generosity.
