USA 26 October: Lake Mary, FL

“The outer message of the United Nations is peace.

The inner message of the United Nations is love.

The inmost message of the United Nations is oneness.

Peace we feel. Love we become. Oneness we manifest”.

~ Sri Chinmoy

And to celebrate this message of peace and oneness, we wanted to exhibit “Paintings for World Harmony” by artist Sri Chinmoy, founder of the World Harmony Run / Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run in Lake Mary City Hall.

This beautiful acrylic collection was exhibited at Lake Mary City Hall from October 23-26 . Sri Chinmoy’s original collections are retained in respected institutions such as The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England, UNESCO in Paris, France, Palais des Rois de Majorque in Perpignon, France, Centro de Bellas Artes in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Museum of Modern Art in St. Petersburgh, Russia among many others.

Mrs. Jaqueline Sova, Lake Mary City Manager, received the Peace Torch in Lake Mary City Hall. We are very grateful to Mrs. Sova for taking the time of her busy schedule to receive us.

This exhibition was dedicated to a culture of peace as expressed through the arts.

Since it was pouring down rain outside because of hurricane Sandy we had to go back the very next day to visit the Sri Chinmoy Peace Tree which was dedicated outside Lake Mary City Hall last April 30th for the 25th Anniversary of the World Harmony Run, when our WHR international team visited Orlando.

Mayor of Lake Mary, David Mealor, proclaimed the Sri Chiinmoy Peace Tree and the plaque to allow us to reflect on how to bring about peace in our lives through a Oneness-World-Family.

“Once we have inner peace,

World peace can be achieved

In the twinklin of an eye.”

~ Sri Chinmoy
