USA 2 March: Lake Mary, FL

The World Harmony Run was honored to be a part of the 8th annual Lake Mary Celebrates Festival in Lake Mary, Florida. There were artists, artisans and fun and entertainment for all at Central Park at City Hall.

Lake Mary Mayor, David Mealor, opened the festivities expressing his gratitude to the citizens and businesses and continued to say this was a way to give back to the community for their support.

Rebecca Herrbach sang the national anthem.

There were lots of enterntainment for all. Children played games in the children’s area and stopped by our tent to hold the peace torch to make a wish for world harmony. They also drew pictures with the theme on ‘Happiness’ since next March 20 will be proclaimed as ‘International Day of Happiness’ by the United Nations. The children’s drawings will be exhibited at Lake Mary Historical Museum from March 16 to April 6.

Mr. Jacob all ready to draw!

Miss Jasmine stopped by out tent. She is a future world harmony runner! So cute! Here on Jacob’s lap.

We would like to thank all of you who stopped by the children’s area and were part of the event. Thank you for taking your time to draw pictures with us and for holding the peace torch to make a wish for a more harmonious and peaceful world.

Some kids visited the Peace Tree in City Hall. Thank you so much for sending this photo!

We would like to thank the city of Lake Mary and specially the president of the Historical Society in Lake Mary, Mrs. Jane Kenovich for their kindness and allowing us to have a tent in the children’s area.
