Austria 27 September: Feldkirch - Wangen (GER)

Welcome to Austria! We crossed the border from Liechtenstein and entered the "Ländle", as the Austrians call Vorarlberg...

...we reached Feldkirch and enjoyed a beautiful view of some mountains peaks which got covered with snow during the night...

...our first meeting: the Primary school Tisis in Feldkirch!

...the kids lined up and received us with "High Five"...

...nice actions with the World Harmony Run song...

...a symbolic run around the local church ended the meeting. Thanks for the nice welcome!

...the historic city of Feldkirch...

...Deputy mayor Erika Burtscher received us with a basket full of delicious bread!

...Feldkirch preserved its old city walls up to the 1920s..

...and a short run!

...next was the primary school Montfort in Rankweil.

...the school proved to be extremely spontaneous, as the meeting wasn't planned beforehand...

...the principal gathered in no-time half of the school and we enjoyed a great time with the kids!

Thanks for the welcome!

...we went on...

...and reached Götzis...

Mayor Werner Huber received our team!

...our visit in Götzis is already a good tradition! Thanks for the nice meeting!

...we met the team from SC Austria Lustenau! The players and coaches were extremely kind and we spent some time together on the field...

...a short run around the field...

Thank you and all the best for the championship!

...today we met also the two top Handball teams of Vorarlberg. First was the Alpla HC Hard and we started with young players...

...then we went on to the main team: a short presentation...

...and a symbolic lap for peace!

Thanks for the welcome!

...the second top team is the team of Bregenz.

...the players kindly interrupted their training just to receive our team...

The mayor of Bregenz, Dipl. Ing. Markus Linhard, joined the meeting and after a group picture we had to say good bye.

Good luck for both teams for the remaining season!

...the mayor led us together with a few other local runners along the picturesque coastline of lake Constanz...

...the sun set and more local runners joined in...

Thanks for running with us! See you at the next Run in Bregenz!

Finally we reached the border to Germany. For one more day we said good bye to Austria!
