Austria 1 October: Kitzbühel - Bischofshofen

Good morning Kitzbühel!

A special "Thank You" to the Hotel Hechenmoos in Aurach, the Hotel Kaiserhof Kitz and the Hotel Reisch in Kitzbühel for hosting our team! We really appreciated the hospitality and the comfortable stay!

...the Hotel Hechenmoos in Aurach...

...the Hotel Kaiserhof Kitz...

...the Sporthotel Reisch...

...early in the mornig we were invited into the primary school Kitzbühel...

...a map with our running route helped to explain what we are actually doing...

...Dr. Winkler, mayor of Kitzbühel, received the torch!

...the children passed the torch and offered a wish for peace!

Thank you Kitzbühel for the warm welcome!

...we moved on. A new local runner-friend guided our team...

...and we reached the primary school in Oberndorf...

..the kids didn't mind the little rain....

...after the "big" childen we visited shortly the smallest ones...

...a wish for peace!

Thank you Oberndorf!

..next was the primary school in Pfaffenschwendt. A small school, but a big heart!

...a dynamic run ended the meeting!

...a collection of peace torches!

...and we reached the primary school in Leogang. Back in Salzburg!

...we met the kids in the gym hall. Big smiles from everybody!

See you soon again!

...the mountain peaks try to find their way through the clouds....

...as we approached the city hall in Saalfelden, local kids joined in...

...the deputy mayor and a group of children greeted us...

...and we all ran together a few km's!

..the deputy mayor showed great endurance! He ran all the way...

...a "small" uphill and we reached Dienten...

...such a nice welcome by the mayor!

...he happens to be a bus driver, so we invaded the bus in no-time for a group picture!

Thank you Dienten!

...and the next meeting: the mayor of Mühlbach awaited us at the beginning of the community and carried the torch all the way to the market square...

...a short presentation for the people from the tourist office!

Thank you Mühlbach! A nice ending for a long, intense day!
