Austria 2 October: Bischofshofen - Salzburg

It was to become a busy day as we were invited into six schools. The primary school "Neue Heimat" in Bischofshofen was first on the list....

...what better start into the day than with a big smile!

Mayor Jakob Rohrmoser greeted our team and received the torch...

...the castle of Werfen appeared out of the morning mist...

..and we visited the primary school Pfarrwerfen!

...the kids prepared balloons with greeting messages...

...peace wishes for the world...

Good bye Pfarrwerfen!

...a little bit of rain could not stop our runners...

...in Werfen children from the secondary school awaited us at the city sign...

...the famous "Peace Boogie" of Werfen...

Mayor Franz Meißl welcomed the runners!

...and we went on to Golling...

..the "neue Mittelschule" Golling gave us an enthusiastic welcome!

...Kuchl was next: kids from the primary school prepared peace doves!

The kids offered us all the peace doves. Some got more, some less...

...the World Harmony Run team met the Austrian Army. we reached the Schwarzenberg Military Base in Salzburg...

...a military brass band received us with traditional music...

..the band master received the torch and passed it on to the musicians...

...our last meeting of the day: the UNESCO school Goldenstein in Elsbethen near Salzburg!
