Caribbean 12 June: Grenada

It has been a long journey to get here but this is our last stop, the spice Island of the Caribbean, Grenada.

Sandy-David, the Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Sports, has once again taken up the challenge of organising our visit here. We are extremely grateful to her, her staff and all the other departments involved.

This morning we drove through the beautiful countryside of Grenada. We were very excited to see a van driving through the streets making announcements about the following days event. Andy arranged for us to speak with students from St. Davids Catholic Secondary School and the students pictured from Crochu R. C. School.

The team would also like to thank Brian Hardy from Spice Island Resort for offering us a great lunch by the beach

Later in the day we had a briefing with Sandy at her office where we also had the opportunity to meet the Minister for Agriculture, Gregory Bown.

We then headed to the local radio station for a brief interview about the Run and tomorrows event. From all indications there are going to be over 1000 people participating.

Tonight we were treated to some local Creole cuisine by Dennot T. McIntyre from the Coconut Beach Restaurant.
