Caribbean 19 May St. Thomas

We woke up to a beautiful Caribbean morning where the turquoise seas meet the sapphire blue skies. We thanked our host Sandy from the Galleon hotel and went in search of our first of three appointments at local elementary schools. We were given and heartfelt welcome to get us off on the right foot.

Our hosts Sandy, Matt and Michelle from the Galleon, a beautiful hotel nestled into the hill overlooking the city of St. Thomas.

Today I felt a little like I was in a dream as we seemed to be rushing from one function to the next with never enough time to really spend at any particular place. Bright smiles and enthusiastic eyes greeted us at each school and the local business owners very kindly offered us more food and accommodation than we knew what to do with.

Jen from Jen’s Café invited us for lunch as we prepared to met the next school.

Ulla Muller students were very eager to hold the torch

Later in the afternoon we had a beautiful run along the water with local runners, a great way to top off an exciting day.

Therese Hodge the coordinator for our afternoon run.

We really felt that the whole of St. Thomas was part of the World Harmony Run team with each person playing a unique and important role.

The enthusiastic crew of St. Thomas runners who ran 8 miles on a beautiful seaside course.

Remarkably it is now over and we are leaving tomorrow – WOW that was fast.

Stay tuned for more news from the Caribbean.

Drew, the owner of Cuzzins made sure we were well fed after a busy day.
