Germany 29 May: Berlin - Stargard (Poland)

We started off early, to reach the 'Europaschule' in Eberswalde for our first event today...

A beautiful meeting with smiling faces and...

...a barking but equally happy dog, "Mr. Schlotter".

An absolutely dynamic and cheerful crowd of kids received us in the same town: the 'Oberschule mit Grundschule Eberswalde'.

The children welcomed us with banners and their written messages for harmony, due to the headmaster, Mrs. Ziegenhagen's inspiration...

...not only us, but also the dog "Mr. Schlotter" got out of breath as the kids ran off the school with us.

The 'Puschkin' primary school received us with such a powerful performance of the World Harmony Run theme song that we could already hear it from the far distance...

Mr. Soldan was extremely nice and so were the kids - each and every one of them...

Unfortunately, one of our most popular team members, James from New Zealand, had to leave us today - we wish him a successful recovery from the run...!

Every runner goes through different moods during a long Harmony Run-day...

'Astrid Lindgren' school was the last venue here in Germany.

...one thing is for sure: the future lies in their hands!

Jarek (Poland) demonstrating the wrong way of recharging the human body!

David (France) demonstrating the 'World Harmony Run Smile' par excellence...!

...crossing over to Poland - the place where you find nature's beauty in its richest form - what a delight!

The Polish organizers considered the highway a good place for running... we disagreed slightly after having to cross over to the other side and climb fences to save our lives...

Szczecin, in Poland...

...the Deputy Mayor welcomed us very nicely and we ran through the city together...

...they prepared big bags for us - filled with nice presents.

A Polish plant demonstrating endurance and determination...

We were extremely fortunate to have these strong runners from the club 'Stargardzki Zwiazek Weteranow LA' with us...

...they covered a great distance, all the way to our final destination for the day.

...the countryside in the northeast of Poland is like one big National Park...

...running into the city of Stargard...

...the fifteenth meridian is right here!

The happy end! We finished the long and intense day with a beautiful welcome by the Deputy Mayor of Stargard.
