Corsica 27 April: Corbara - Sagone

We started from the monastery at Corbara. One monk, originally from Cameroon, ran with us for 10 km! Africans really have running in their blood, even the monks!

We spent the next few hours on one of the most beautiful roads we have ever run!

We ran simply in paradise.

Life on the road...

Enjoying the absolutely stunning nature and challenging hills combined with a gorgeous view from high above down to the Mediterranean Sea and its crystal-clear blue water, snowy peaks were greeting us from the horizon. A real highlight for every runner!

Lots of cyclists already touring Corsica...

Pierre always organises...

As we were coming into Cargese, a group of kids joined us all the way into the city.

The mayor welcomed us and we wnjoyed a nice meeting and good refreshments.

The last stretch took us to Sagone, where today's run ended.

Our great French cooks look after us all day long...

We went to the convent of St. Francois in Vico for the night, located majestically in the mountains.
