19. Leesa Danks

Leesa Danks is a 12 year-old, year 6 student who has attended Rosedale Primary School since Preps. She is currently one of our Co-School Captains, demonstrating excellent leadership skills. She is held in high regard by her fellow students who trust her to always do the right thing.

Last term Leesa participated in the Leukaemia Foundation’s Campaign to raise funds for research, by shaving her head. Leesa campaigned at school and in the local community, organising the advertising, managing the recording and collection of monies and contributing to the Official Website in her quest to raise money to support this cause.

She also garnered the support of the Junior School Council who organised a mad hair day in order to raise funds in support of her efforts. The Principal shaved Leesa’s hair at the school assembly. Overall Leesa raised $1400.00 for this worthy cause. A great effort.
