67. Robert Ievers

August 3

Robert Ievers is Deputy Mayor of Richmond Shire and also runs Kronosaurus Korner, a dinosaur fossil display centre. Robert was presented with a World Harmony Run Torch-Bearer Award for his outstanding service to the community.

Richmond Shire Council nominated Councillor Ievers for his volunteer service to the community and in particular Kronosaurus Korner. Rob volunteers much of his own time to conduct tours of the museum. He recently conducted tours for the People to People Ambassador Program that has shown around 1000 international students through our doors.

Rob is always on hand for tourists when they bring their fossil finds in for identification and impromptu tours as visitors request. Rob is a local grazier as well as an elected member of the Richmond Shire. He also volunteers a lot of his time to community events for example this week he is commentating for the Richmond Rodeo Association.
