Great Britain 14 March: Fishguard - Goodwick

Our final destination in Wales - the towns of Fishguard and Goodwick

A steep climb up the hill to Goodwick Community School

The Mayor of Fishguard and Goodwick, Cllr Richard Davies meets the team

This school has a great tradition of singing and the children performed several songs for us

A volunteer helps the runners to demonstrate Harmony by helping to carry our injured Bulgarian runner

'Let us take you by the hand and lead you up the hill'

The Mayor of Fishguard and Goodwick, Cllr Richard Davies, receives two messages of Peace and Friendship from the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and the Mayor of Camarthen, which the runners brought with them. He later gave us a message to bring to the Lord Mayor of Dublin

Our friends from the Urdd, the cultural institution that offers children and young people the opportunity to learn and socialise in the medium of the Welsh language, offer a message of Peace

The children sing the Welsh national anthem and then say a prayer together in Welsh

Feeling Harmony and Friendship within

The Head teacher, Mrs Brame, holds the torch

Running and jumping with joy

A prayer for peace

Concillor Davies leads everyone on a lap of the playground

Vanessa, who coordinated our visit to Fishguard and Goodwick, holds the torch

The children collect the Harmony Run stamp

Fishguard is the location of the last invasion of Britain in 1797

Lunch and refreshments were supplied by the Mayor and the Town Council

We are really grateful to the Mayor and everyone in Fishguard and Goodwick for their tremendous hopitality

We honored our friends from the Urdd with a Thank You song and a cake

And then we boarded our boat to leave Wales for Ireland....

This is not our boat
