I can't believe that it has been seven days in Ukraine already! Our last day here has dawned.

Я не можу повірити що ми вже сім днів в Україні! Розпочався наш останній день.

Here you can see the mayor from Horodkivka running with the torch. There is a little story to this picture I'd like to tell. Yesterday while driving the van, I heard a strange noise but thought first that it must be the sound of the moped following me.

Тут ви можете побачити мера містечка Городківка біжачого з факелом. Є невеличка історія до цього знімка, яку я б хотів розповісти. Вчора керуючи автобус я почув незвичний шум, але зразу подумав, що це повинен бути звук мопеда їдучого позаду мене.

A little later I figured that the noise was no moped, but was coming from the right rear tire! At the same time, the brakes were not working properlyl. Now I knew there was something wrong... Later in the evening the mayor of Horodkivka took us to a workshop nearby and the friendly man there hoisted the car right away and had a look at the brakes. Turned out that there was something wrong and the first diagnosis was that we needed a few new parts. Somebody said something about a 'specialist', and then they just told me to go and take a shower, that they would call me when they knew more.

Трошки пізніше я зрозумів, що шум був не від мопеда, а йшов з правого заднього обід колеса! Водночасно гальма перестали добре працювати. Тепер я знав що там щось негаразд... Пізніше ввечері мер Городківки забрав нас до блихньої майстерні й дружній чоловік підняв машину і подивився гальма. Встановив що дійсно щось негаразд і пеперший діагноз був, що нам потрібні декілька нових запчастин. Хтось сказав щось про "фахівця" і тоді вони просто сказали мені йти й прийняти душ і що вони покличуть мене коли буде відомо більше.

One hour later the phone rang and I was told that the car is alright and ready to go. Somehow, they managed to fix the brakes and upon asking what it would cost, the mayor just replied: "Tomorrow you take my picture and put it on the internet..." So here is the shot of him running. THANK YOU SO MUCH... How sweet it is to have proper brakes again!

Через годину задзвонив телефон і я почув що машина полагоджена і готова їхати. Якось вони впорались з ремонтом і на питання скільке це коштує мер просто відповів: "Завтра ви зробите моє фото і розмістите в Інтернеті..." Так що ось знімок де він біжить. ДУЖЕ ДЯКУЄМО ВАМ... Як солодко мати знову добре працюючі гальма!

This little girl saw us and simply joined in for a while. When we stopped at the region's border, she was even asked to give an interview.

Маленька дівчинка просто побачила нас і приєдналась. Коли ми зупинились на межі району її попросили дати інтерв'ю.

Велетень... Ні, насправді це Мате з Угорщіни в дітсадочковому туалеті...

Goodbye friends! Goodbye Ukraine! We will miss you all....

At 3.30 pm we crossed the border to Moldova. A 'ferry' brought us across the river Dnister. Thank you everyone!!

До побачення друзі! До побачення Україно! Нам буде бракувати вас всіх... В 15.30 ми переплевли межу до Молдови. "Паром" перевіз нас через річку Дністер на інший бік. Дякуємо всім !!
