USA 20 July: Hastings, MN - Winona, MN

Today we were in Yuyudhan country - his friends and family welcomed us with an open heart.

Gautami and Uddyogini starting the day in style at the Rosewood Inn with a delicious home cooked breakfast.

Meanwhile Yuyudhan best friend Ismail Guler was running towards Rochester MN - Yuyudhan's hometown.

Pritika runs through Stockton, MN. Special thanks to 2 boys on bikes & a bunch of children who welcomed the run! (not pictured but appreciated!)

Dr. Megabhuti roth enjoys a few days off carrying the torch in his homestate - Minnesota.

Is this guy having fun or what.

CJ Hoppe - Yuyudhan's nephew - logs some miles to build up an appetite for his Grandma's (Yuyudhan's mom) legendary home made pies.

New team member Jirka - from the Czech Republic gets some excercise running past Minnesota's cornfields.

David from Iceland - maybe he's smiling so much because he's leaving the team in a few days. Thanks David for your great company and willing spirit.

Community Garden President very kindly saw us passing through and generously invited us to help ourselves the as much produce as we could carry.

Yuyudhan share the spirit of the World Harmony Run and explains the many reasons why is mom Edythe Hoppe is receiving the world Harmony Run torch bearer award - Yuyudhan's dad Chuck Hoppe looks on.

Edythe enjoys the moment.

CJ, Yuyudhan, Edythe and Chuck share a special moment.

Edythe Hoppe a deserving recipient of the Torch Bearer award.

Edith LaBrash with CJ and Yuyudhan Hoppe - three generations of this great Minnesota family.

Back at the Hoppe homestead we were treated to an enormous lunch...

...including 11 homemade pies. Mmmmmm!!

Gautami, Uddyogini and Shyamala enjoying the Hoppe hospitality.

Eric and Megabhuti all smiles - it must be all those pies.

Special thanks to the Riverport Inn for hosting us for the evening.

– Salil
