Canada 16 May: Toronto - Great Lakes College

Team smiling at the start in High Park, despite the rain.

Passerby recognizes us and, coffee in hand, joins the troop.

A unique International High School with students from 22 countries - Africa, Asia, Europe and South America - the Great Lakes College, welcomed the Harmony Run today.

Timing was perfect as they were celebrating International Day. Luckily we could count at least 6 nationalities on the team. You could feel the love of their countries as students recited "harmony" in their own languages. The love for Canada was also very evident Everyone was quick to cheer for the DVD and the song. A real group spirit!

Our thank you to Guidance Counselor Jillian Scout for inviting the Harmony Run.

Say "harmony" in Romanian.

Our man from Vietnam got a great cheer from the Vietnamese contingent.

Can you name the country?

Guidance Counselor Jillian Scout and Economics Teacher Natasha Sawchuk accept certificates of appreciation for their enthusiasm.

Eager to share the torch

Harmony is smiling

The team enjoys yummy gluten-free brunch at The Beet. Only the photographer is temporarily absent from the table.
