TO TROIS-RIVIÈRES- 24/05/12

Nos coureurs ont apprécié leur excellent logis au Days Inn de Trois-Rivières.  La directrice de l’Hôtel Ève Lavallée reçoit un certificat d’appréciation des mains de Vidura. 

Our runners enjoyed super-excellent accomodations along with a very courteous and helful staff at Trois-Rivières' Days Inn. Hotel director Eve Lavallée receives a certificate of appreciation from Vidura. 

Notre journée commence à Repentigny et nous nous dirigeons vers Pointe-du-Lac. 

Our day starts in Repentigny as we head out to Pointe-du-Lac.  

Nous ignorons toujours si Jyotish a couru ou s’il a SURVOLÉ sa portion du trajet. 

Even now, we are not sure if Jyotish actually ran or FLEW his part of the route. 

Cet agent de la circulation fut très utile pour nous diriger à travers ce bouchon dû à des travaux.  

This very helpful traffic-control worker helped us through in a bottleneck construction zone.

Voici la preuve que vous pouvez à la fois vous soucier de la paix dans le monde ET tondre la pelouse.  

Here is the proof that you can care for world peace AND take care of the lawn at the same time.

Un propriétaire qui rénove sa maison prend une pause pour saluer Vidura.  

A home owner takes a few moments off his renovation work to greet Vidura.

Ces gens réparaient des meubles pour rendre service à leur communauté.  Ils étaient heureux de participer à la Course en tenant le Flambeau, et croient que la Course s’insère dans leur philosophie. 

These folks where fixing furniture as a community service. They were happy to take part in the event, and thought it was quite in line with their philosophy.

Rencontre avec le propriétaire d’un dépanneur pour partager l’esprit de la Course…

Jyotish reçoit l’appui de deux jardinières à Louiseville. 

Jyotish receives support from two gardeners in Louiseville. 

En Fahrenheit ou en Celsius, peu importe.  La température est élevée aujourd’hui ! Les coureurs Dimitry et Sarvagata ressentent les effets de la chaleur. 

Farenheit or Celcius; no matter how you mesure it, the temperature was quite hot today! Runners Dimitry and Sarvagata are feeling the heat.

Vidura donne tout ce qu’il a pour cette finale.

We ended our day's run at Pointe-du-Lac, where the Saint-Lawrence seems to stretch for miles in width.

Nous avons terminé notre journée de course à Pointe-du-Lac, là où le fleuve Saint-Laurent s’élargit à perte de vue.

Seems like they lost something...

On dirait qu’ils ont perdu quelque chose…
