USA 3 May: Fort Walton, Fl - Mobile, Al

Letter to the runners from Florida Senator Bill Nelson.

Fort Walton was the starting point for our final day in Florida where the team made the most of their beach front accommodation at the Best Western Hotel.

The team's first destination of inspiration was Ensley Elementary where we were graciously received by our young hosts who had prepared for our visit with artwork inspired by world harmony.

This was a truly multicultural school which embraced the principles of oneness, love and harmony and were enthusiastic to share their sentiments with us.

The team members standing on the countries which they represent.

The Montessori School of Pensacola were the next school to receive the runners.

The students of this beautiful school regaled us with song and their own aspirations and dreams for world harmony.

From here we continued our journey step by step through this most beautiful state, encouraged by the good wishes of motorists and members of the community that we encountered along the way.

We were very grateful for our accomodation kindly provided by Holiday Inn - I-10 Mobile. General Manager Millard Williams is here with the team.

Destination: Alabama, where we were generously offered a most delicious dinner from Aztecas Mexican restaurarnt. Muchas gracias!

And now begins our new adventure into the South where the warmth and kindness of the heart prevails.
