Slovakia 1 June: Malacky - Senica

This year's World Harmony Run opening ceremony happened at the grounds of the Sport Primary School Zahoracka in Malacky, where Mr. Jozef Ondrejka, mayor of Malacky, officially lighted up the torch. Teacher Peter Filip gave a short introduction into schools athletic achievements. Our two weeks long relay was stared by two very successful student athletes, long jump Slovakian junior record holder and 400m runner.

Zahájenie tohtoročného slovenského Behu Harmónie sa konalo v areáli športovej školy ZŠ Záhorácka v Malackách. Pán primátor Rndr. Jozef Ondrejka slávnostne zapálil pochodeň. Po predstavení atletických úspechov školy Petrom Filipom štafetu odštartovali behom po tartarovej dráhe žiaci školy, skokani do dialky .

'Malacky - a good town to live in', as their motto says, provided an excellent start for the upcoming thirteen days of running through the most beautiful parts of Slovakia.

Tak nám Malacky - dobré miesto pre život, dalo vynikajúci štart do nadchádzajúcich trinástich dní behu Slovenskom.

Two successful junior champion runners were leading us out of town.

Z Malaciek nás vyprevadili majstri v behu.

Before the vilage of Borský Svätý Jur, we were surprised by an unexpected spontaneous invitation for some refreshements by the owner of local restaurant. We made a little detour, but this nice meeting was well worth it. Thank you!

Pred Borským Svatým Jurom nás prekvapilo spontánne pozvanie na kofolu od majiteľa miestnej reštaurácie. Tak sme si dopriali krátke odbočenie z trasy. Táto nečakaná vzpruha nám padla veľmi dobre. Ďakujeme!

In Dojč, the mayor Katarína Jankovičová with her kind staff prepared for us some refreshments and food. She even helped us out with running.

V Dojči nám pani starostka Katarína Jankovičová so svojím milým osadenstvom pripravila občerstvenie a dokonca nám aj pomohla s behom.

We happily reached the city hall of Senica, where a marching band of girls lined up for us. After a impressive show, we presented balloons to the children who celebrated today the International Kids Day.

Dobehli sme šťastne do Senice pred mestský úrad, kde čakali nastúpené mažoretky. Po ich pôsobivej šou sme prítomným dnešným oslávencom - deťom rozdali balóniky.

The vice mayor of Senica Mgr. Peter Hutta gave us a nice welcome and he took very well care of our international runners team. Thank you for supporting the World Harmony Run!

Pán zástupca primátora Mgr. Peter Hutta nás veľmi pekne privítal a postaral sa o náš pobyt v etapovom meste. Ďakujeme Vám za podporenie SBH!
