Italy 26 April: Altamura - Brindisi

In the morning we met again the assesori of sport, who introduced us at an international meeting of schools and teachers from different countries around the Mediterranean sea.

The local sense of children's latest fashion didn't make us feel well dressed... at least not for this performance.

We promised ourselves that for the next time we would have to borrow ties...

Our friend Stefano Lanzalone had the chance to run for the last time with us before he took a bus back to Rome.

Sometimes the life on the road is a little bit like a game. Would you believe that it took us more than three days to dry our clothes after the laundry? Two minutes after this picture was taken, it suddenly started raining.

No, no, no, we didn't have any meetings with space ships! These are the traditional roofs that create cool temperatures in the houses even during the warmest summer.

Another kind of transport was waiting for us to cross the Adriatic see.

The assesori of sport, joined by the local police, gave us a fond farewell and then drove our Italian friends to their trains. We are happy to have made our acquaintance with them.

But on the World Harmony Run, farewells and welcomes are daily event. Our first contact with the Greek crew of the Erotokitos ship gave us a glimpse of the next country.

Alas, alas, it has not been easy to leave amazing Italy. Thanks to all the Italians that we met on the road. We will meet again, soon, or, to be precise, in June, when we will be crossing the north of the country.
