USA 27 April: Sycamore, SC - Savannah, GA

The incredibly unique Matthais representing Germany.

Tom, from New Zealand, striding out.

Ratuja hails from Belarus and will run the whole 4 month journey around the United States.

We completed 76 miles as a team together in VERY HOT tempuratures. A number of friendly southern motorists showed concern for us running in the heat by offering ice cold water.

Finishing up in beautiful Savannah.

We joined with some children at a track meet at Savannah State University.

Before the ceremony they limbered up for their competition in a military fashion.

It was inspiring to see that the children pray to be good sports people and for protection from injury. With their innate faith it was easy for them to relate to the concept of world harmony stemming from the heart of each individual.

Arpan, from New York keeps the kids informed and entertained.

A final lap of the track with the torch before they get competitive.

Together with the main organizer, Barry. Thanks Barry!

Thank you to Savannah South KOA for providing an excellent camping experience. To have so many amenities while camping is such a boon.

Thank you to the Best Western Savannah Gateway for giving a men's team a home away from home.

Today is the 25th anniversary of when Sri Chinmoy founded the Oneness-Home-Peace Run in 1987. We celebrated in the evening at our campground with ice-cream and stories of past runs. It is fascinating to reflect on 25 years of running around the globe for peace as well as the cosmic coincidences and beautiful connections with people and nature that have occurred. Each step is a joyful and humble offering towards an ever increasing world of harmony. We look forward to many more years of adventures!

"Today's chaotic world cannot forever remain chaotic. World harmony, world peace: these are not mere dictionary words. These are the realities, divine realities and supreme realities." ~ Sri Chinmoy, World Harmony Run founder
