We were warmly welcomed by the primary school in Hustopeče. It filled us with lots of joy and energy for the coming day.

Krásné přivítání na ZŠ Komenského v Hustopečích nás nabilo radostí a energií do dalšího dne.

The children joined us to the town hall where we met the mayor.

Děti pak s námi běžely až na náměstí k radnici, kde jsme se setkali i se starostou města.

The children from another primary school carried the torch while we were running out of the town.

Na konec města nás pak vyprovodily děti ze ZŠ Nádražní.

Next meeting with the mayor and the school was held at the football sports ground in Starovičky.

Na fotbalovém hřišti ve Starovičkách jsme se setkali se starostou, ředitelem, učiteli a dětmi z místní základní a mateřské školy.

The students of the grammar school were waiting for us at the beginning of Velké Pavlovice. They ran with us to their school.

Již před Velkými Pavlovicemi na nás čekali studenti místního gymnázia ve žlutých dresech, kteří nám pomohli přinést pochodeň až do jejich školy.

They were really good runners and kept running with us out of their town.

Naši průvodci byli skutečně neúnavní, neboť nás poté se svým tělocvikářem běželi vyprovodit až za město.

Our team grew up in Velke Bilovice. Runners from Prague and Great Britain joined us.

Ve Velkých Bílovicích přibral tým našich běžců dvě velké posily – běžce z Prahy a Velké Británie.

Children from local primary school enjoyed chatting with our British runner. Perhaps they learnt some new English words!

Děti z místní základní školy, se kterými jsme se na bílovickém náměstí setkali, měly velký zájem promluvit si hlavně s britským běžcem, aby si vyzkoušely svoji angličtinu.

We are very grateful to the mayor of Velke Bilovice for organizing our visit. They even prepared delicious refreshments for our hungry stomachs!

Velice jsme ocenili občerstvení, které si pro nás Bílovičtí připravili. Rádi bychom poděkovali starostce obce, paní Vlkové, a panu řediteli místní základní školy, kteří organizačně zajistili naši návštěvu v obci.

We had a great fun playing football with kids at the town square. We were really amazed by little girl´s Bara football skill. She is even better then the boys! She may become a member of a national football team in the future. :-)

Ještě než jsme se vydali na další cestu, zahráli jsme si s dětmi na náměstí fotbal. Obzvláště jsme byli fascinováni vynikajícím fotbalovým uměním Báry, nejlepší fotbalistky mezi fotbalisty Velkých Bílovic. Možná za pár let bude mít národní fotbalové mužstvo, nebo spíše ženstvo, nové posily. :-)

The kids from Velke Bilovice are really good at sports. They changed the ball for the torch again and started running. It seemed they would never stop. With such joy and enthusiasm they followed us to our next meeting with children from Podivin.

Děti z Velkých Bílovic jsou skutečně velkými sportovci, s pochodní s námi běžely až do další vesnice, Podivína.

Some inhabitants of Podivin (the Czech word for "strange") may wondered when a strange relay team with torch ran through their town.

Někteří obyvatelé Podivína se možná podivovali, když jejich obcí proběhla naše podivná štafeta s pochodní.

But children fron local school knew the torch was running towards their sports ground.

Ale děti z místní základní školy, věděly, že pochodeň míří na jejich sportovní hřiště.

We could not resist playing bit of basketball with them at their school playground.

Nemohli jsme odolat a s dětmi jsme si zastříleli na bránu a do basketbalového koše.

They still had enough energy to continue running all the way to Lednice.

Studenti i přesto měli ještě energii, běžet s námi až do Lednice.

Our today´s journey was honored by Mrs Holaskova who is the castle keeper of a famous Czech castle called Lednice. Our cheerful guide gave us an excellent tour through the beautiful castle.

S pochodní jsme dorazili i do zámku Lednice, kde nás kastelánka, paní Holásková, pozvala na prohlídku.

All the experiences were really overwhelming today!

Někteří běžci už nebyli schopni tolik vjemů ze dnešního dne vstřebat, takže z toho byli „celí jeleni“.

Sailing the Thaya river and walking through the unique castle gardens was a perfect end of the day.

Projížďka na lodičkách a procházka v zámeckém parku pak pro nás byla příjemným závěrem dne.
